Monitor Your Progress

Checking on yourself periodically to make sure you are working on what you intended to and how well it's going can help you be successful. Consider the following

  • Compare your actual activities to your plan and see if you need to adjust your course of action (see Executing Your Plan for ideas to get back on track)
  • Determine if you are being effective by using the following:
    • Use retrieval practice and teaching others what you are learning can help you know where you really stand with your learning
    • Use self-review and peer review to help improve your work and figure out how you can improve
